David R. Sidran: Partner: Dave received his Bachelor of Arts degree in 1982 from the University of California, Santa Cruz. In 1985 he received his Juris Doctor degree from the University of the Pacific, McGeorge School of Law with distinction. He was also awarded the Order of the Coif and membership in the Traynor Honor Society, as well as receiving American Jurisprudence Awards in Contracts and Torts. During law school he served on the law review and worked at the United States Attorney’s office for the Eastern District of California helping defend military bases against claims of gender discrimination. He was first admitted to practice law in California in 1985, and was admitted to practice in Colorado and Nevada in 2000. Dave has handled cases in State and Federal courts through all phases of trial and the appellate process; specializing in the representation of auto dealers, contractors, developers, insurers, manufacturers and retailers in the areas of personal injury, products liability, property damage, premises liability, construction, civil rights, real estate and employment law. He has extensive trial, arbitration, mediation and special master experience. He is also admitted to practice before the U.S. Court of Federal Claims where he handles cases under the National Vaccine Injury Compensation Program. He is AV Rated by Martindale-Hubbell, he has a “Superb Attorney Rating” from AVVO and has received the coveted “Super Lawyer” designation. He is certified by the National Board of Trial Advocacy as a Civil Trial Specialist. He also serves as a Discovery Facilitator for the Contra Costa County Superior Court. Thomas M. Crowell: Senior Counsel: Tom received his Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of San Francisco in 1983. After receiving his undergraduate degree, Tom worked in the banking industry until he was accepted to study law at the University of California, Hastings College of the Law, from which he received his Juris Doctor degree in 1994; he was admitted to practice law in California that same year. He specializes in the defense of employment discrimination and harassment claims as well as bodily injury, premises liability, auto dealer defense and product liability litigation, with an emphasis on arbitration, trial and appellate practice. Before joining the Sidran Legal Team, he worked as staff counsel for Liberty Mutual Insurance Company. He excels in getting to the truth in complicated employment disputes and he is an outstanding appellate advocate. Matthew K. Sidran: Senior Counsel: Matt received his Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Denver in 2012. He received his Juris Doctor degree in 2015, also from University of Denver, and was admitted to practice law in Colorado that same year. He was admitted to practice law in California in 2021. He has extensive insurance defense experience in the areas of construction litigation, auto dealer defense and auto liability. He is also experienced in the area of commercial leases as well as oil and gas law. He has been practicing for the past 8 years in Colorado, and more recently in California for the past 2 years. Christine L. Crouther: Of Counsel: Christine received her Bachelor of Arts degree from San Jose State University in 2002. She received her Juris Doctor degree from Santa Clara University School of Law in 2006 and was admitted to practice law in California in 2006, She joined the Sidran Legal Team shortly thereafter. In 2015 she joined the SolarCity Corporation legal department, rising to the level of managing counsel, head of litigation for vehicles and energy at Tesla, Inc., before rejoining the Sidran Legal Team in 2022. She has been practicing law in California for over 17 year and has extensive experience in all areas of law affecting the solar energy and automotive industries. Kathleen J. McMahon: Associate: Kathleen received her Bachelor of Arts degree from University of Nevada, Reno in 2016.
